Mini LED compatible multi-channel LED driver IC

Next-generation Local Dimming Driver IC that drives mini-LED, which is in high demand as a technology following LCD and organic EL displays.

Currently, the display industry for TVs and PCs, as well as in-vehicle and gaming consoles, is increasingly adopting high-definition panel driving technology that utilizes local dimming. In particular, the shift to Mini-LED has led to a demand for increased control over the number of LED backlight segments. As for LED driver ICs, there is a need for multi-channel solutions to achieve low cost and space-saving designs. O2Micro offers a cutting-edge lineup of Mini-LED compatible LED drivers to meet these requirements. Contact: omj@o2micro.com

LED brightness control using PWM (fade in/fade out)

Development of software (algorithm) to operate LED in a gradient on a microcontroller.

I developed software (algorithm) to operate an LED with a gradient effect using a microcontroller. The microcontroller (RENESAS: RX220) is connected to the LED driver IC (PCA9635) via the I2C bus to illuminate the LED.

『LM3405』

1.6MHz, 1A constant current, step-down regulator 'LM3405' for LED power supply

The LM3405 is a 1A constant current buck LED driver designed to provide a simple and highly efficient solution for driving high-power LEDs. It features a 0.205V reference voltage feedback control to minimize power consumption, allowing the current to be set with a single external resistor for driving various types of LEDs. The switching frequency is internally set to 1.6MHz, enabling the use of small surface-mount inductors and capacitors. With current mode control and internal compensation, it is user-friendly and achieves predictable, high-performance regulation across a wide range of operating conditions. This device has a maximum input voltage of 15V and can drive up to three high-brightness LEDs in series with a forward current of 1A, with the forward voltage of a single LED being approximately 3.7V. **Features** - VIN operating range: 3V to 15V - Drives up to five high-brightness LEDs in series at 1A - Thin SOT-6 package - Switching frequency: 1.6MHz - LED enable and PWM dimming via EN/DIM input - 300mΩ NMOS switch *For more details, please contact us.*

Silicon Sign Japan Technology Advantage

Introduction to technology that provides ultra-high-definition, high-functionality LED panels with high quality and long lifespan.

The Common Cathode technology adopted by SCT (Silicon Core Technology) is one of the most important technologies for achieving high-definition panels with an LED pitch of 3mm or less, which has traditionally been difficult, as it reduces power loss, heat dissipation, and the number of components compared to the conventional Common Anode format. With the unique high-integration, low-power LED driver IC developed by the SCT group, we solve previous issues and provide ultra-high-definition, high-functionality panels with a pitch of 1.9mm or less, ensuring high quality and long lifespan. 【Features】 ○ Common Cathode technology ○ Refresh rate & grayscale ○ Ghost removal technology ○ Cool (low heat generation) & Silent (quiet) For more details, please contact us or download the catalog.
